Yes. The cash price is the cash price; the deferred price (if you choose installments) is a single fixed amount agreed upfront and split across your chosen term. There is no compounding rate, no APR, no late-fee escalation. The price on the contract is the price you pay — total.
The seller may offer two prices: a lower price if you pay in full at closing (cash), and a slightly higher fixed price if you pay across installments (deferred). The deferred premium typically runs 5-15% over cash — that's industry-standard owner-financing. It's a single fixed amount; it does NOT increase the longer you take. Once signed, the price is locked.
Identity verification (KYC), creditworthiness check (FCRA-compliant), OFAC sanctions screening, fraud-history review, and title/ownership verification appropriate to the asset category (DMV for cars, title company for homes, appraisal for jewelry, etc.). Every step before a listing goes live and before a contract is signed.
Grace period with dignified communication — no harassment, no collections agency language. If hardship continues, we facilitate a restructure (extend term, reduce monthly). If the calamity is severe and you qualify, the Recovery program covers missed installments. Settlement and voluntary asset return exist as last resorts. No court-ordered eviction. Licensed partners we route the deal to. Escrow is handled by state-licensed escrow companies (Old Republic, First American, North American Title, or state-specific firms depending on jurisdiction and asset). Loan paperwork for buyers using external financing is handled by NMLS-registered MLO firms. Title transfer goes through title insurance companies for real estate, or DMV agents for vehicles. They charge their own fees — typical escrow setup runs $200-1,500; MLO origination runs $400-2,000; title insurance runs 0.5-1% of property value. All disclosed upfront in your closing statement.
Sellers: Free basic listing. Premium / featured listings $99-499. Success fee 1-2% of asset value, collected at closing through the licensed escrow partner. Volume seller subscriptions $299-999/month for dealerships and high-volume sellers. Buyers: Free browsing and messaging. One-time platform commitment fee $50-200 (covers credit pull, KYC, and our paperwork side — not the escrow company's fee). What we do not do: charge interest, charge per installment, or extract any fee from the 0% APR installment stream the buyer pays.
